School Project on 19th Century Italian Fashion

Hi.  My daughter is 7.  Her school is doing a project on the many cultures in our society and she has chosen her Italian background.  We need to know how girls dressed in 19th century Italy, and why they dressed as they did.  Would you be able to help?  Thank you!
