Mixing Leather and Suede
My question is regarding leather and suede. With the coming of spring, winter clothing have been heavily discounted. I recently bought a very nice long leather coat(it is a few inches below the knees, but not quite ankle length). I was hoping that I could find a nice pair of boots to go with the jacket. The boots that I found are suede. Can they be worn together? If it helps, both the coat and the boots are equally fancy. Neither out fancy the other. I hope this is enough information, if not, please let me know, and I will try my best to be more accurate.
I appreciate any advice you can send.
Thanks.
As long as the "mood" or style of the pieces complement one another (e.g., as you noted, they are equally dressy), the jacket and boots will not only look great together, but the contrasting textures will create great visual interest for your look.
I would keep the rest of the outfit simple, and avoid other leathers or suedes in the mix (and animal prints, too).
Sounds like you'll look great!
