Class Reunion Dressing for Men

I am attending my 10-year reunion this summer and am not sure what to wear. The invitation says nothing about proper attire, only that it will be cocktails, dinner and music. I am 6'2", 195, so suits fit me well, but I'm really not sure what I should wear. Thank you in advance.

Congratulations on ten years--time goes by quickly, doesn't it? I justattended my 20 year reunion a few weeks ago. Anway, on to your question. I'm assuming the event is in the evening; the use of the word "cocktails" indicates it's a fairly dressy affair, and keep in mind that many people attend class reunions dressed to impress. You will probably be safest in a suit or nice jacket and slacks, or at least a shirt and tie. I saw a range of attire at my reunion, but the people who were more dressed up seemed to be more at ease.
