What type of dress should I buy to flatter my cone-shaped figure (broad shoulders and narrow hips and legs?

Your best best would be a wrap dress with at least a 3/4 length sleeve (or a
full-length sleeve) and some body to the skirt. The wrap will separate your
bust and draw attention to your waist and away from your arms and shoulders.
The skirt should probably have some body to it--nothing super-clingy, as
that will emphasize your smaller lower body. You can also try a dress with
a v-neck, since that draws the eye down and in, and away from shoulders and
arms.
