I am petite, and flat chested with youthful skin. How can I dress casually without looking like I am a child?

It's all about the details! The key for you is to choose pieces and accessories that have an air of sophistication to them. Look for details like zip fronts on cardigans, well-made T-shirts of very high quality cotton with some stretch built in (check Banana Republic for good ones), pants with a flat front and a slight boot cut flare, elegant shoes, and small-scaled but sophisticated jewelry will all provide detailing that will communicate your style and sophistication and separate you from the teen set.

The small details like the fabric of a shirt or the belt you choose are especially important when you're dressing very casually, in jeans or shorts. I would avoid the common shopping advice for petite women of shopping in the girls' or boys' departments, because those clothes are cut for kids and will make you look younger.

I hope that helps!

Regards,

Kat
